ABOUT — WORKING WITH JUBA CLIENTS
A Web Design Studio for Juba Businesses
I am Kenyi Paul. I design and build websites for organisations in Juba and across South Sudan. It is a one-person studio, not an agency with account managers, which means you talk to the person doing the work.
Most people looking for a "web design company in Juba" are really looking for three things: someone who will answer the phone, someone who will not disappear after the deposit, and someone who can show work that loads properly on a normal phone. The size of the company matters less than those three.
I am a full-stack developer by trade. My client work includes Galtia SynergyTech, a South Sudan-focused technology company working on renewable energy and automation. The other builds in my case studies — a property platform, a ticketing system, a construction site — are concept projects. They are labelled as such, and I do not present them as client engagements.
How this studio works
- One person, start to finish. Design, build, deployment, and support are done by me. No account manager relays your messages to a team you never meet.
- Small number of projects at a time. I take on a few builds at once so that each one gets attention. If I am booked, I will tell you the next available start date rather than overpromise.
- Written scope before money. Pages, features, timeline, and price in one document. If it is not in the document, it is not in the price, and we agree any change before it happens.
- Direct communication. WhatsApp, email, and calls. You get updates at each stage rather than silence followed by a launch date.
- You own everything. Domain, hosting, code, and content are yours. Handover includes credentials and documentation.
Why South Sudan
The market is underserved in a specific way. There are agencies doing decent work, and there are people selling templates at agency prices. What is missing is the middle: professional builds at a price a Juba SME or national NGO can actually budget for, delivered by someone who understands why the site needs to be light and why WhatsApp is the real contact form.
I also think the search competition is honest competition. Ranking for a service in Juba is achievable with a well-built site because so few organisations have one. That is a better use of my time than fighting for page three in Nairobi.
What I am not
- Not a Juba-registered company. I work as an independent contractor. If your procurement requires a locally registered supplier, I will tell you rather than waste your time.
- Not a full-service agency. I do not run ad campaigns, produce video, or manage social media. I design and build websites, and I will refer you to people who do the rest.
- Not the cheapest option. If the only requirement is the lowest possible number, a template and a cousin who knows WordPress will win. I am competing on whether the site works, not on price alone.
How to start
Send a message describing the organisation, what the site needs to do, and roughly when you need it. I will reply with an honest answer, including whether I am the right person for the job.
From there: a short call, a written scope, a fixed price, and a start date. No pitch deck, no retainer before anything exists.

QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
- Are you based in Juba?
- No. I am physically based in Kigali, Rwanda, and I work remotely with clients in Juba and across South Sudan. I am not going to claim a Juba office I do not have. What I can claim is that the work is done by the person you speak to, and that I understand the market well enough to build for it.
- Why hire someone outside the country?
- You get senior-level design and development without agency overhead, and you are not limited to whoever happens to be available locally. The trade-off is that everything happens remotely, so clear written scope and regular updates matter more than they would in an office down the road.
- Who actually does the work?
- I do — design, build, deployment, and support. I do not subcontract to a junior team and put my name on it. If a project needs a specialist I do not have, I will say so before you pay anything.
- Can we meet in person?
- If you are in Kigali, yes. If you are in Juba, we work over WhatsApp, email, and video calls. I have not found that to be a barrier when the scope is written down and updates are regular.
- What happens if something breaks after launch?
- You message me. Every build includes thirty days of support at no extra cost. After that, you can continue on a maintenance plan or handle it in-house — I hand over documentation either way.
