PRICING — JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN
Website Design Prices in Juba
Most agencies in the region will not publish a price. You have to book a call, sit through a pitch, and wait for a proposal that may not arrive. Below are the ranges I actually work in, what each one includes, and the costs that sit outside the build.
Prices below are in US dollars and exclude domain, hosting, and email unless stated. They are planning ranges, not a quotation — the cost guide explains why the same brief can land at different points in a range.
Starter — $350 to $900
For a small business, consultancy, or sole trader who needs a credible presence and a way for customers to get in touch.
- Three to six pages
- Mobile-first design, tested on a throttled connection
- Services, about, and contact pages
- Contact form with email delivery tested
- Click-to-chat WhatsApp button
- SSL and basic search setup
- Domain and hosting connected in your name
- Thirty days of post-launch support
A five-page business site usually lands near the middle of this band. A single page sits at the bottom of it; a six-page site with custom photography and copywriting sits at the top.
Growth — $900 to $2,500
For organisations that publish regularly, need a document archive, or take bookings and enquiries through the site. This is the band most NGOs and established businesses fall into.
- Up to fifteen pages
- Content management system staff can update
- News, blog, or programme section
- Document and report library with dated archive
- Booking, enquiry, or donation flow
- Photo galleries with compressed, modern image handling
- Per-page search metadata and structured data
- Analytics and search console setup
- One training session and a written admin guide
- Thirty days of post-launch support
Custom — $2,500 and up
For e-commerce, member portals, and web applications. The scope is agreed before a price is given, because the range here is genuinely wide.
- Product catalogue, cart, and checkout
- Mobile money, bank transfer, and cash-on-delivery flows
- User accounts and role-based access
- Dashboards, reporting, and exports
- Integrations with existing systems
- Advanced security and audit logging
- Documentation and handover to an in-house team
A straightforward store with a local payment confirmation flow usually starts around $2,500. Multi-vendor platforms, complex inventory, and custom integrations are quoted individually.
Add-ons and separate costs
- Business email setup — $80. Up to five mailboxes with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured. See business email.
- Google Business Profile setup — $150. Verification, categories, service areas, photos, and review setup. See Google Business Profile.
- Copywriting — $40 to $80 per page. If you do not have text ready and do not want to write it.
- Hosting — $10 to $40 per month for most content sites, billed at cost plus a small management fee. See hosting.
- Domain — $12 to $25 per year for a .com or .org.
- Maintenance — from $30 per month for updates, backups, security patches, and small content changes.
What pushes a project up or down
- Content readiness. If text and photos are ready, the build starts immediately. If they are not, writing and sourcing them adds cost and, more importantly, weeks.
- Page count and structure. Ten pages of the same layout are cheap. Three pages with a directory, filtering, and a dashboard are not.
- Integrations. Each external service — payments, messaging, accounting — adds work and something else that can fail.
- Languages. A second language doubles content work. Arabic adds right-to-left layout testing.
- Timeline. A two-week turnaround on a scope that needs four adds a rush fee. A relaxed timeline never reduces the price, because the work is the same.
What you get before paying anything
A short call, a written scope with pages and features listed, a fixed price, and a delivery date. You can take that to another developer and compare like for like, which is the point.

QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
- Are these prices fixed?
- The ranges are real, and you get a fixed price in writing after a short scope conversation. Nothing changes that number unless you ask for something outside the agreed scope, and then it is quoted and approved before any work happens.
- Do you take a deposit?
- Yes. Fifty percent to start, and the balance before launch. For projects above $2,500 I can split the balance into two stage payments. Every payment gets a written invoice.
- What is not included?
- Domain registration, hosting, business email, paid stock photography, and third-party subscriptions such as booking systems or payment processors. I list these separately so the total is clear before you commit.
- Can I pay in South Sudanese pounds?
- Prices are quoted in US dollars because hosting, domains, and software are billed that way. Payment can be made by bank transfer, mobile money, or an international transfer service, converted at the rate on the invoice date.
- Do you offer maintenance?
- Yes. Optional maintenance covers updates, backups, security patches, and small content changes. It is a monthly retainer and can be cancelled with notice. Launch support for thirty days is included in every build at no extra cost.
- What if I only need one page?
- That is fine. A single-page site for a new business or an event starts at $350 and rarely exceeds $600 depending on content and photography. It is not listed as a package because it varies too much to standardise.
